Archa Form of Tirumala Venkateswara

Image
I happened to see the Garuda Vahana seva of Lord of Seven Hills in SVBC last but one week ago. Suddenly, a thought flashed into my mind why Lord has to come to earth in Archa form. Immediately, i took my laptop and searched the net if any of the bhakta bandus have come up with a reason for Lord being in Archa form. There was one Bhakta who talked about a katha kalakshebam by a great pandit regarding the topic. I am writing it in this blog. The relationship between Jeevatma and Paramaatma is so unique and is bound by eternal love. Parama purusha vishnu is full of daya and he wanted to remain with Bhaktas forever. He took various avatars to be with Bhaktas and show them the right path of Mukti. Out of the ten avataras, he took 2 Vibhava avatharas. One as an ordinary human being as Rama and another one as a Acharya as Krishna. He could have killed Ravana and Kamsa in a second and could have returned to vaikunta. But he didnt do it. He chose to be with Jeevatmas who were suffering in earth...

Why its with Sri Ram always?

Jai Shree Ram!! I grew up in an orthodox Brahmin family in South India for whom Lord Sri Rama is a Guru and a teacher on how one should lead a human life. The Indian government's attitude towards the concept of Hinduism has always on the downside. In case of Lord Sri Rama's Ayodya issue, its even downhill. The way Indian government is handling the Ayodya issue is pathetic and the case is on for almost 2 decades. The frequent comments by the partners of UPA ( you know whom :-)) is also disturbing all the Bhaktas of Lord Rama. Ayodhya, Sethu Samudram project issue have shown the true face of the people who rule our nation. Who are these people to comment on Lord Sri Rama? What credentials do they have? Nothing. Just by writing few literatures and screen play for films, are they qualified on commenting against Kamba Ramayanam? Rama showed a way on how a ruler should be through his Rama rajyam concept where people's happiness and decisions are the final say. Rama showed a way o...

Interesting points from Gaudiya Vaishnavam

I have wondered how there is a diversity in the creations of Brahman? Recently i came across an article which enlightened me in this perspective. The article was talking about the Gaudiya Vaishnavam philosophy which was propagated by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. He gives an interesting description about how this universe was created and how diversity was infused into the creation. He describes about three forms of Hari namely Maha vishnu Garbhodhakasayi Vishnu Kshirodakasaayi Vishnu Maha vishnu - creates the entire universe or what is called the Maha-tatva ( Total matter Creation) Garbhodhakasayi Vishnu - permeates into this Maha-tatva and creates diversity in them. Kshirodakasayi Vishnu - permeates into everything into this universe, right upto the atoms. Normally in Sanskrit, the word Vishnu means to enter. He is the one who enters into everything in this world and make them work. Another interesting item that i noticed was that this is in sync with the maha tattva Aham Brahmaasmi..Th...

Aham Brahmaasmi..

Mankind always has this question. Who am I and what am I doing in this world? Science and religion have attempted to answer this question. This blog is all about understanding these questions and trying to find out answers to these question. Hinduism is a very complex religion. Wait did i say religion? sorry, Hinduism is way of life. Hinduism is about finding an answer to the above question. Like Albert Einstein said, Knowledge is an ocean and i am just a kid picking up shells in the sea shore.. Hinduism is all about getting to the shore of knowledge and merging with the ultimate ocean of knowledge. Some common misconceptions in Hinduism There are myriad Gods in Hinduism No!! There are no myriad Gods in Hinduism. Only one God which we call Brahman who manifest according to the way the people perceive. Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma,Kali, Saraswati are all just various forms of one mighty Brahman. Hinduism is about Idol Worship No!! Hinduism is not about Idol Worship.. Hinduism is about underst...
