Mankind always has this question. Who am I and what am I doing in this world? Science and religion have attempted to answer this question. This blog is all about understanding these questions and trying to find out answers to these question. Hinduism is a very complex religion. Wait did i say religion? sorry, Hinduism is way of life. Hinduism is about finding an answer to the above question. Like Albert Einstein said, Knowledge is an ocean and i am just a kid picking up shells in the sea shore.. Hinduism is all about getting to the shore of knowledge and merging with the ultimate ocean of knowledge.
Some common misconceptions in Hinduism

There are myriad Gods in Hinduism
No!! There are no myriad Gods in Hinduism. Only one God which we call Brahman who manifest according to the way the people perceive. Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma,Kali, Saraswati are all just various forms of one mighty Brahman.

Hinduism is about Idol Worship
No!! Hinduism is not about Idol Worship.. Hinduism is about understanding yourselves and search for God within you. There are people with various levels of intelligence and mindsets and they need some mechanism or way to understand the Brahman. When we take Science,we use models to understand the concept of its working. For example: we have small signal model for transistors, various atomic model. In the same way, in order to understand the ever complex Brahman, we had to use different models for different attributes of the god. Thats why our forefathers had a concept of idol worship in temples.

            The works of Azhwars are collectively known as Naalayira Divya Prabandham. Out of the 12 azhwars, one azhwar is a little girl who lived in this Bhooloka no more than 10 years. In these 10 years, she sang 2 prabandas, Tiruppavai and Naachiyar Thirumozhi. Tiruppavai is hailed to be one of the important text in the Sri Vaishnava Ramanuja Sampradaya and is included in Nithya anu sandhaanam.                   Aandal was named Kothai by birth and she was found under Tulasi maadam in the garden of Periazhwar. Srimad Azhagiya Singar thiruvadigale saranam Ramanuja Dayaapatram Gnana vairagya Bhushanam Srimad Venkatanaadaryam vande vedanta desikam Adiyen is on a deputation to London and with Sriyapathi's unconditional mercy the place where i stay is very near to Mahalakshmi temple in London. Last week, adiyen was blessed to witness Sita Kalyanam in Mahalakshmi temple. Day started as usual, waking up at 5:30 in the morning and having a head bath. Phew!! In that temperature, i was literally shivering.. Anyways,chanted aadityahridayam and started for work. It was in the afternoon, i realised that it may get late to start from work and witness Sita Kalyanam..
