Archa Form of Tirumala Venkateswara

I happened to see the Garuda Vahana seva of Lord of Seven Hills in SVBC last but one week ago. Suddenly, a thought flashed into my mind why Lord has to come to earth in Archa form. Immediately, i took my laptop and searched the net if any of the bhakta bandus have come up with a reason for Lord being in Archa form. There was one Bhakta who talked about a katha kalakshebam by a great pandit regarding the topic. I am writing it in this blog.
The relationship between Jeevatma and Paramaatma is so unique and is bound by eternal love. Parama purusha vishnu is full of daya and he wanted to remain with Bhaktas forever. He took various avatars to be with Bhaktas and show them the right path of Mukti. Out of the ten avataras, he took 2 Vibhava avatharas. One as an ordinary human being as Rama and another one as a Acharya as Krishna. He could have killed Ravana and Kamsa in a second and could have returned to vaikunta. But he didnt do it. He chose to be with Jeevatmas who were suffering in earth as life forms. But still, did the Jeevatma realise the mission of Paramatma? When he took the form of Raama, he was asked to go out of the kingdom for 14 years. After that, he had to send out his life Sita to make the people of his kingdom happy. Still, the mission of Paramatma didnot complete. In Krishna avatara, he was born in the jail. He had to be taken to Gokulam on a rainy night across Yamuna. Further, Kamsa did all he could, to kill Krishna, but Krishna kept thwarting Kamsa's plan. When it was unbearable, he went to Matura and killed Kamsa. Then problem came in the form of Jaraasanda where Krishna moved to Dwaraka. He taught Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna, but still when the war was over, the Yadava clan began fighting with each other and killed each other. What did he ask after all? He wanted to be with his children, with his bhaktas like a mother, like a friend, like a kid. Then after the evil age Kali started and Paramatma made a decision. He will reside in those who love him more than his life. He will be with those who will come to him for help. But Lakshmi and Narada was afraid. They were afraid what will happen in Kali Yuga. They came to the Akhilanda Koti Brahmaanda Nayakan, Kamala Nayanan, and expressed their fear. Perumal said that he will take Archa form during Kali Yuga and will help the people who come to me and love me more than anything else in the world.. He will show his original forms only to those who has crossed the ocean of Samsara.. Both Sri and Ranganatha spoke to Ramanuja, awarded him the title Yatiraaja. Annamacharya had the seva of Thiruvengadamodiyaan and Alar-mel Manga Thayaar.
Whatever be the form the Divine is with us, either antaryamim, para, vyuha, archa he loves all of us and will protect us if we do a saranaagati to him.. Sarva dharmaan paritjanya Maamekam Saranam Vraja..

ReplyDeleteRaghavaa,
Just got a chance to read this wonderful writeup.very nice to see that my friend is so knowledgeble on puranas too.
I have some questions for you.Does Sri Vishnu took only 10 Avathaars ? Please meditate on this..I will share my understanding soon.
krithigaivasan
Thanks krithi. I took Vishnu puranam as a base and therefore 10 avataras. But Bhagavatham says Lord Vishnu has 21 avataras. Yes, the number of avataras are still a matter of dispute. Some say Buddha as one of the avataras where as Balarama is an amsam of Adisesha.. As per my knowledge, in Bhagavatham, this is the order of avataras.
