Idol worship.

For the past two centuries, there happened to be few proponents against Idol worship. They had justification on their own ideology. But they failed to understand the various strata of people around them. People are diversified in their own way. Like we have various models to explain various facts in science, religion and spirituality have their own way how Brahman would like. Everybody in this world cannot understand the works of Shankara, Ramanuja and Desika. People have their own level of understanding. Idol worship is just to inculcate spirituality in the minds of the various strata of people and thereby helping them to feel the divine bliss. I dont criticise those people who were against Idol worship. Instead, they had the mindset to understand Brahman without idols or god's images. They were really masters in their own right.

Thiruppavai - The epitome of Bhakti and Saranagathi

            The works of Azhwars are collectively known as Naalayira Divya Prabandham. Out of the 12 azhwars, one azhwar is a little girl who lived in this Bhooloka no more than 10 years. In these 10 years, she sang 2 prabandas, Tiruppavai and Naachiyar Thirumozhi. Tiruppavai is hailed to be one of the important text in the Sri Vaishnava Ramanuja Sampradaya and is included in Nithya anu sandhaanam.                   Aandal was named Kothai by birth and she was found under Tulasi maadam in the garden of Periazhwar. She was born Ayonija  which means without a stay in human womb. Srimad Azhagiya Singar thiruvadigale saranam Ramanuja Dayaapatram Gnana vairagya Bhushanam Srimad Venkatanaadaryam vande vedanta desikam Adiyen is on a deputation to London and with Sriyapathi's unconditional mercy the place where i stay is very near to Mahalakshmi temple in London. Last week, adiyen was blessed to witness Sita Kalyanam in Mahalakshmi temple. Day started as usual, waking up at 5:30 in the morning and having a head bath. Phew!! In that temperature, i was literally shivering.. Anyways,chanted aadityahridayam and started for work. It was in the afternoon, i realised that it may get late to start from work and witness Sita Kalyanam.. I prayed to my favourite god venkateswara and behold the meeting which supposed to happen at 4:30 got cancelled but got stuck up with some other work.
