Back to Srirangam

When we came out of Thiruvellarai, we got a call from my father's friend asking us to come to Srirangam for a darshan. We immediately said yes and told them that we would be at Srirangam at 2:00 PM. We went back to Trichy and had our lunch in Sangeetha restaurant..Went back to our room and got freshened up and started to Srirangam.. We went near the Ranga Ranga gopuram and called up my father's friend. He asked us to come near the Sriranga pathuka so that he will take us in. He was there and we got into the sanctum santorum. As we were wearing the traditional dress, the Bhattacharya asked to wait and showed an Haarati. We first saw the Padaaravindam of the perumal then his nabhi-kamalam. Behold, before the Moolavar was the ever resplendant Namperumal. If someone asks me what beauty is, i will point Namperumal. He is the beauty and makes the whole temple beautiful. I was chanting lines from Vishnu Saharsanaamam throughout. The Bhattar asked us whether we had the satisfying darshan of Perumal. We replied in positive. We came out for a Sataari and for Thulasi theertham. We were so happy and we went to visit the Ranganayaki sannidhi again. What is the use of having a darshan of Ranganatha without having a darshan of Ranganaayaki. We proceeded to the Thaayar Sannidhi through the Iyindu kuzhi, moonu vaasal. We stood in the line and I was chanting Lakshmi Ashtotram. The Bhattar showed deepa haarathi to Thaayar and gave us manjal. We were so satisfied with the darshan and we came outside the sannidhi.. I meditated for a while there. After meditation, we started for Koviladi..

Last week, adiyen was blessed to witness Sita Kalyanam in Mahalakshmi temple. Day started as usual, waking up at 5:30 in the morning and having a head bath. Phew!! In that temperature, i was literally shivering.. Anyways,chanted aadityahridayam and started for work. It was in the afternoon, i realised that it may get late to start from work and witness Sita Kalyanam..
